About this tour

What the afternoon looks like

Eleven cables strung across our own hillside, thirteen platforms, and about 1.8 kilometres of line in total. The longest run is 900 feet, the highest sits 65 feet off the ground, and the whole thing takes between forty five minutes and an hour.

It starts slow and low. The first cables are short and close to the ground, so you learn how to ride before the long ones. Two guides travel with every group, one sending and one receiving at each station, and they are trained to talk a nervous first-timer down as much as to clip a harness.

What the tour includes

  • Harness, helmet and a full safety briefing
  • Two guides with the group at every station
  • US-certified equipment, checked before every tour
  • Photographs taken by our team, on sale at the main office afterwards

What you ride through

A short hike takes you up through dry oak forest, past oaks that have been there a hundred years. After the fourth station the vegetation turns to rainforest. From the platforms people regularly spot birds, deer, hawks, iguanas and agoutis, and the ocean stays open behind you the whole way down.

Before you fly

Closed shoes are best. Cameras and phones are not allowed on the line, for your safety and for the people below you, so leave them in a locker at the office.
